Biography
It was during the mid-'80s that singer Ricky Lee Phelps first attracted notice through his role in the Kentucky Headhunters. Two albums appeared with the eclectic honky tonk outfit: Pickin' on Nashville in 1989 and Electric Barnyard in 1991. When Phelps and his older brother Doug exited the Headhunters in 1992, the siblings launched Brothers Phelps, which delivered Let Go in 1993 and Any Way the Wind Blows in 1995. After stepping away from music for a stretch, Phelps resurfaced in 2003 with Sign of the Times, his initial solo album.
