Biography
Drawing from the literary creations of J.R.R. Tolkien, Swedish heavy metal veterans Jakob Samuel (vocals, drums & keyboards), Pontus Norgren (guitars, bass & keyboards) and Marcus Jidell (guitars, bass & keyboards) formed a new band they aptly titled Ring. On their epic debut album Tales From Midgard, issued in 2004, the trio delivered an unreserved take on dungeons & dragons-themed fantasy metal in the style of longstanding figures like Dio, Armored Saint and Rainbow.
