Roadhouse

Formed in 1991, the melodic UK hard rock quintet revolved around ex-Def Leppard guitarist Pete Willis, who entered the world on 16 February 1960 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. Completing the roster were bassist Wayne Grant, guitarist Richard Day, vocalist Paul Jackson and drummer Trevor Brewis. Phonogram Records extended a contract chiefly because of the guitarist’s prior industry ties. Their lone album, however, fell flat, offering only an undistinguished set of commercial AOR numbers. Roadhouse never established a clear personality and failed to bring momentum or freshness to its faster tracks, while the ballads conveyed neither conviction, feeling nor distinction.
