Biography
Recognized as a skilled straight-ahead pianist with advanced technique, Rob Schneiderman has produced multiple engaging albums for the Reservoir label. His formative years unfolded in San Diego, where club performances began at the age of sixteen. Valuable stage experience alongside Charles McPherson and Eddie Harris preceded his 1982 relocation to New York. Once based in the city, he collaborated with leading players that included Zoot Sims, James Moody, Art Farmer, Chet Baker, Slide Hampton, and J.J. Johnson. In tandem with his solo output, Schneiderman has toured and recorded with the Tana Reid band.
