Robin Eubanks

Robin Eubanks, older brother of guitarist Kevin Eubanks, established his reputation through performances in his sibling’s ensembles, on his own JMT recordings, and alongside prominent M-Base figures such as Steve Coleman and Greg Osby. Arriving in New York in 1980, the trombonist—whose range extends from bop to free—appeared with Slide Hampton and Sun Ra, toured alongside Stevie Wonder, and later joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. His adaptability has also led to freelance engagements in varied settings, among them McCoy Tyner’s big band.
