Biography
Born on August 24, 1998, in Turku, the coastal Finnish city, Robin Packalen rose to prominence as a teen pop sensation. By age 15 he had already become an internet phenomenon, with his 2012 debut single “Frontside Ollie”—titled after a familiar skateboard maneuver—accumulating more than 11 million YouTube views and holding the top spot on the Finnish pop charts for several uninterrupted weeks. During that same year Packalen appeared on screen for the first time in the documentary Robin - The Movie while also issuing his first album, Koodi, which earned quintuple-platinum certification. Chillaa, his second full-length release, reached stores later that autumn, with Boom Kah following in 2013.
