Biography
Rochelle, Rochelle took its name from the notoriously tedious art-house erotic film referenced on Seinfeld. The hard-rocking post-grunge group came together in San Diego, CA, during August 2000, with vocalist/guitarist Erik Berg, guitarist Gaylord Van Brocklin, bassist Nicholas Sekol, and drummer Jeff Grasmick. The quartet soon began performing throughout the region, secured airplay on local stations, and issued an independent, self-titled debut EP. In 2001 the band earned a spot in the first Coke-sponsored New Music Awards contest for unsigned acts.
