Biography
Forming in Detroit amid the mid-1990s, garage punk outfit Rocket 455 first appeared on the scene. Multiple personnel shifts followed, yet the 2001 configuration featured Mark Walz on vocals, Jeff Meier and Marco Delicato on guitar, Kenny on drums, and Steve Nawara on bass. The group delivers high-energy, three-chord rock in the vein of Motor City forebears such as the Stooges and MC5. Their debut single surfaced in 1994, prompting additional singles, compilation contributions, the six-track EP Sees All, Knows All, Tells All in 1997, and the full-length Go to Hell, issued in 2001 by Get Hip Recordings.
