Biography
In 2002 the Texas hard rock quartet Rockett Queen coalesced around vocalist/guitarist Walter Lee, lead guitarist Chris Wild, bassist Stephen Doll, and drummer CC Harte. Drawing from the boisterous glory years of the Sunset Strip as embodied by Mötley Crüe, Guns N' Roses, and Poison, the group issued its first album, Too Rock for Radio, in 2003 to widespread approval from listeners and reviewers alike. A series of live dates alongside Yellowcard, Bad Religion, My Chemical Romance, and Coheed and Cambria ensued, together with placements on the soundtrack to the film John Tucker Must Die and on MTV's Newport Harbor. The EP Kiss and Tell appeared in 2008, yielding the regional hit "Since You Been Gone." Subsequent seasons found Rockett Queen on tour with Hinder, New Found Glory, Story of the Year, and the All-American Rejects, plus repeated engagements on the Vans Warped Tour. Another EP, Goodnight California, followed in 2011.
