Biography
Billy Kinsley, formerly the bassist in Merseybeat, joined guitarist and vocalist Jimmy Campbell, an alumnus of both the Kirkbys and 23rd Turnoff, to launch Rockin' Horse. Their partnership began in 1971 and proved durable enough for the band to complete a Philips album titled Yes It Is before the members parted ways in 1972. Although the original lineup dissolved that year, Kinsley briefly resurrected the Rockin' Horse name when assembling a new ensemble in 1975, only to change the group’s identity to Liverpool Express soon afterward.
