Rome Ramirez, who performs under the name Rome, works as a California-based singer and songwriter while serving as lead vocalist for Sublime with Rome. He entered the world in Fremont, California, during 1988, picked up the guitar near the age of 11, and honed his craft into skilled songwriting by his teenage years. A longtime devotee of Sublime, Rome received an introduction in 2008 from 17th Street Recording Studio producer Lewis Richards to the band’s bassist, Eric Wilson. The meeting sparked a RAWsession concert at the same studio, where Rome performed Sublime material alongside Wilson. This connection prompted Rome to tour in 2009 with the surviving Sublime members, a lineup that had lacked steady frontman duties following Bradley Nowell’s passing in 1996. The newly formed Sublime with Rome issued its first full-length album, Yours Truly, in 2011. Rome issued his own introductory solo EP, Dedication, the following year on Fueled by Ramen, then issued the singles “Terrorista” in 2013 and “Eighteen” in 2014.
