Originating from a church background as an independent R&B vocalist, Ronnie "RnB" Bell possesses a vocal style reminiscent of Brian McKnight, Tank, and Jaheim. Between modern mainstream productions and more deliberate tracks aligned with profound Southern soul-blues traditions, his output has shifted. Bell, who grew up in Walker, Louisiana—approximately 20 miles east of Baton Rouge—began his vocal journey in choirs during childhood. In his adolescent period, he sang alongside the family ensemble George Perkins & the Voices of Harmony before moving on to Kenneth Mitchell & the Voices of Praise. He spent two years at Delta State University, contributing to the institution's Division II title-securing football squad, prior to transferring to Southern University, where he became a member of the Southern University Concert Choir. Additionally, Bell served as an opener for campus performances featuring artists including 112 and Erykah Badu. The year 2012 marked the release of his initial solo recording, a self-titled EP consisting of three tracks. Over the subsequent years, various singles emerged, among them "Cotton Candy," which paved the way for the expanded EP #BBMyself in 2015. This was followed by the arrival of "I'll Pay the Shipping Cost" in 2016.
