Rosario Giuliani

In the 2000 Top Jazz critics poll organized by a leading music publication, Rosario Giuliani received recognition as the standout newcomer, marking the start of his deeper commitment to the European jazz world in 1997. This skilled alto saxophonist captured first place at Brussels' Europe Jazz Contest, a prominent festival that directly resulted in a recording agreement with the Parisian imprint Dreyfus Jazz, founded by Francis Dreyfus.

After completing studies at Frosinone's Conservatory of Music, Rosario Giuliani entered Giovani Talenti del Jazz Europeo, the continental jazz ensemble supported by Italy's RAI broadcasting network, and subsequently formed the Giuliani Quartet with pianist Pitero Lussu, bassist Dario Rosciglioni, and drummer Di Leonardo.
