Biography
Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, where she was born and raised, Rose Watson nurtured an early affinity for gospel alongside a strong pull toward musical theater, allowing her to sustain parallel paths in both fields throughout the twenty-first century. She completed her studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, after which she joined multiple touring productions that took her across Europe and the United States, among them Mahalia, Oh Happy Day, Little Shop of Horrors, and Ain't Misbehavin'. In 2015 she formed the Black Gospel Angels to reconnect with her gospel origins, and two years later she issued her first solo album, Timeless.
