Rosemary & Garlic

Anne van den Hoogen, handling vocals and guitar, teams with keyboardist and guitarist Dolf Smolenaers to comprise the Dutch duo Rosemary & Garlic. Their work yields serene, flowing indie folk marked by melancholy. Smolenaers handled mixing on the self-released 2015 EP The Kingfisher. In the months afterward, the song "Old Now" gathered millions of streams, and the EP ranked as a folk best-seller on Bandcamp. Van den Hoogen also records atmospheric electropop with Habitants, while Smolenaers works with post-punk revivalists Silent Runners and electro-R&B outfit TIAN; their self-titled full-length debut appeared on Nettwerk in early 2018.
