Biography
Hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, blues singer Rosie Mae Moore took the stage in medicine shows prior to her association with guitarist and mandolinist Charlie McCoy. In the final years of the 1920s she cut multiple tracks for Victor—among them “Staggering Blues” and “Stranger Blues”—with accompaniment from both McCoy and fellow guitarist Ishman Bracey.
