Biography
Ruedi Rymann first saw the light of day on January 31, 1933, in the Swiss village of Saren, Obwalden. Long celebrated as a volksmusik legend, he is recognized above all for the song “Dr Schacher Seppli.” When Il Senso released a newly recorded version of the track featuring Rymann in 2008, the single entered Switzerland’s Top Ten and rekindled public interest in the veteran performer; the same wave of attention also lifted his 2007 greatest-hits collection, 40 Ruedi Rymann Top Hits, onto the charts.
