Biography
Ruth Pelham sings, plays guitar, and writes songs, bringing her work to festivals and clubs alongside libraries and schools. Adults discover that her warm yet humorous approach revives happy recollections, while children absorb worthwhile lessons amid the fun. Gentle Wind issued her debut album Look to the People in 1986, a collection that includes the tracks "Lessons of Life," "Look to the People," and "In These Golden Days." Accordion, violin, saxophone, penny whistle, clarinet, cello, autoharp, banjo, and further instruments shape the bright arrangements, with support from John Curtis, Maggie Rizzi, Janet Hood, Martha Siegel, Billy Novick, Beth Cohen, and Alan Bern. Under One Sky appeared in 1998, presenting selections rated for ages four and up such as "Guitar Box Band" and "If I Could Be Anything."
