Biography
RXK Nephew has earned recognition for his ferocious and erratic approach to rapping alongside an unmatched pace of releases that routinely surpasses several hundred tracks each year. His lyrics, presented in an unpolished stream-of-consciousness format, repeatedly explore conspiracy theories that span Area 51 cover-ups and the 2020 U.S. presidential election results while also incorporating extreme violent threats and eccentric insults aimed at fellow rappers and celebrities. He frequently purchases instrumentals from producers and has recorded across an expansive range of sounds encompassing trap, plugg, Baltimore club, drum'n'bass, Latin freestyle, and metalcore. Although his enormous body of work remains hard to catalog fully, his most celebrated projects feature the 2020 mixtape Crack Therapy 3, the rhythm-driven 2021 album Slitherman Activated, and 2023’s Till I’m Dead, which represents his first effort created with only one producer, Rx Brainstorm.
Kristopher Kevon Williams entered the world in Rochester, New York and was raised by his grandmother. Casual experiments with music under aliases such as Brisko Slice gave way to serious commitment only after he completed a prison term and subsequent parole. He began posting songs and videos as Rx Nephew in 2017 before revising the name to RXK Nephew, sometimes rendered as RXKNephew. The year 2019 brought joint work with another high-volume Rochester rapper, Rx Papi, plus two albums centered on Nephew’s demonic-voiced persona, Slitherman. More than a dozen albums and mixtapes surfaced in 2020, drawing wider notice by December, most notably through the songs “Slither Conspiracy” and the ten-minute “American Tterroristt,” both taken from Crack Therapy 3. Releases including Slither Link Up and Bro Ham carried guest contributions from Nephew’s sister, Slitherher. Slitherman Activated arrived in 2021 on the club label Towhead Records with production supplied by Color Plus, Black Noi$e, DJ Swisha, and Kanyon. Other favorably received projects that year were Make Drunk Cool Again and Shawty RXK Too 2. Two volumes each of On the Run from Area 51 and GTA House in the Hills appeared among his 2022 output. The studio album Till I’m Dead, built entirely by Rx Brainstorm, surfaced in early 2023; its title and artwork reference the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1994 debut, Ready to Die.
