Ryan Stewart

Ryan Stewart works as a pianist, arranger, and composer whose projects lean toward classical and new age styles and keep him in steady demand. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, he first discovered music through his mother, a classically trained pianist who died of breast cancer when he was 13. Motivated by her memory and her passion for the art form, he kept refining his abilities as both performer and writer. Following graduation from high school, he enrolled at the University of Utah with a full-ride scholarship and completed a degree in computer programming. Even while employed as a computer architect and programmer, he maintained his musical pursuits, frequently merging his technical background with his classical foundation. Among his recorded works are the albums Equanimity (2008), In the Dreaming Hour (2010), and the holiday-themed O Come, O Come Emmanuel (2011). In 2014 he issued his fourth solo album, the atmospheric and relaxing One Journey.
