Biography
Safari Season is a Swedish ensemble formed by the duo Lars Ryen, who handles lead and backing vocals, and Anders Lindgren on guitars. Drawing from the classic surf and California sunshine pop of the Beach Boys along with similar artists, the group crafts music that echoes the Beach Boys' output from the 1960s and the initial years of the 1970s, yet presents it within a more subdued and restrained mood. Numerous additional musicians contribute to the arrangements on the album The Sound of the Sun, where certain songs incorporate flute, strings, and trumpet beyond standard rock instrumentation.
