Spanish singer Salomé shared first place at the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest with three fellow entrants, French vocalist Frida Boccara, the U.K.'s Lulu, and the Netherlands' Lennie Kuhr. Born Maria Rosa Marco in Barcelona on June 21, 1943, she later cut her winning song "Vivo Cantando" in seven languages: Spanish, Basque and Catalan, French, English, German, Italian, and Serbo-Croat.
