Biography
Salt the Wound, a metalcore group based in Cleveland, Ohio, assembled on September 11, 2001. Founding drummer Jim Agrippe, who exited in 2006, and guitarist-vocalist Mike Kawkabany launched the project and issued the band’s first EP, It’s Taken Too Long, in 2004. Over the next three years the lineup cycled through new drummers, bassists, vocalists, and replacements for the original members, producing a visibly and sonically transformed ensemble. In 2008, after signing with Rotten Records and locking in the roster of vocalist Matt Tanner, guitarists Vince Stropki and Jake Scott, bassist Brian Martinez, and drummer Rob Walters, the band delivered its debut full-length album, Carnal Repercussions.
