Biography
The Boston hardcore outfit Sam Black Church, consisting of vocalist Jet, guitarist Ben Crandall, bassist Richard G. Lewis and drummer J.R. Roach, issued a pair of albums on the regional Taang! imprint amid the mid-1990s. Their self-titled debut appeared in 1993, followed by Let in Life the subsequent year. The band then shifted to Untangled Records for the 1997 release That Which Does Not Kill Us...Makes Us Stronger, with The Black Comedy arriving twelve months afterward.
