Hailing from South Florida, Sandée earned notice for her embrace of dance music carrying Latin influences across the 1980s and 1990s. Pronounced Sahn-day, she belonged to the first Expose roster assembled in 1984 by dance music producer Lewis Martinee. Her vocals appeared on the act’s opening Arista singles “Exposed to Love” and “Point of No Return,” both major club hits. Once those tracks emerged, the original lineup—which also featured singer Ale Lorenzo—disbanded, so an entirely new roster stood ready when the group prepared its next single, “Come Go with Me.” Martinee decided to re-record “Exposed to Love” and “Point of No Return” with the replacement members for the debut album Exposure, leaving none of Sandée’s vocals on the finished release. After departing Expose she launched a solo career, reaching the clubs in 1988 with the Fever single “Notice Me.” In 1991 she issued the RAL solo album Only Time Will Tell, which contained the single “Love Desire.”
