Biography
Saqqara Mastabas draws its name from an Egyptian tomb and marks the partnership of Matthew Friedberger from the Fiery Furnaces with Sebadoh’s Bob D’Amico, who had earlier served as Friedberger’s live drummer during Furnaces shows. Across sessions in Brooklyn and Paris in 2013 the duo captured nine mercurial songs, which appeared as the album Libras on Joyful Noise in 2016.
