Biography
Finnish pop singer Sara Nunes first attracted widespread notice through her 2005 single “Simon Can’t Sing,” a track that poked fun at the notorious American Idol panelist Simon Cowell. She entered the world in Helsinki in 1982, spending her early years in a household where Portuguese from her father and Finnish from her mother mingled, then relocating with her parents to Africa near the age of nine. During her teenage period she stepped into the spotlight as frontwoman for the group Sinamour. Her debut solo effort, the punk-pop-inflected How to Rule the World in 12 EZ Lessons, appeared in Finland in 2005, followed by an American issue two years afterward.
