Biography
Formed in 1991 as a hybrid death/black metal side project by Judas Iscariot founder and multi-instrumentalist Akhenaten, Sarcophagus assembled through the participation of vocalist Frank Drago, guitarist Michael Matejka, bassist Marcus Kolar, and drummer Paul Bruneau. Across the following five years the group put out five demos before completing a pair of albums: For We...Who Are Consumed by Darkness in 1996 and Requiem to the Death of Passion in 1998. After Akhenaten moved to Germany, the project was placed indefinitely "on ice."
