Biography
In 1997 the pop/rock quartet Sarona assembled in Valencia, Spain. Their debut demo appeared the following year, while a second recording completed in 1999 showcased the originals “Ya Sabes Lo Que Pienso” and “Hasta Luego” together with additional self-penned material. Victory at the local Polirock contest earned the band a finalist slot at Valencia’s festival. Taking its name from the Knack’s “My Sharona,” Sarona supplied a cover of U2’s “Pride (In the Name of Love)” to a regionally released compilation that surfaced in 2001.
