Biography
Saúl Vera, a performer rooted in traditional Venezuelan music, launched his professional path during the 1980s by founding the ensemble Saúl Vera y Su Ensamble in 1986. The group reached listeners for the first time in 1989 through the album Música y Tradiciones, 75 Años de Música Popular Venezolana, then continued with Saúl Vera y Su Ensamble in 1994 and Bandola de Reyes in 1995. That same skilled mandolin and bandola player completed a well-received European tour in 1997. Saúl Vera additionally released the instructional book Metodo Para El Aprendisaje De La Bandola Llanera, devoted to techniques for playing the bandola.
