Biography
Emerging from Dayton, Ohio in 2013, Save the Lost Boys channeled the essence of pop-punk from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Originally formed under the Peter Pan-inspired name Lost Boys after earlier activity as Life After Liftoff, the group took cues from blink-182 and New Found Glory. The lineup of Lee Weiss on vocals and guitar, Josh Hall handling vocals and bass, Brandon Koflowitch on drums, and Anthony DiCaro on guitar leaned into the brighter, more melodic reaches of the style, building tracks around expansive choruses and high-energy performances. The band self-released its debut EP Sleepless Nights that same year, exhausting the pressing during a four-day stretch on the Warped Tour. After sustained road work and further studio sessions, Save the Lost Boys secured a deal with Victory Records and unveiled the LP Temptress in 2016, which arrived that summer under the guidance of producer Tyler Smyth of Dangerkids.
