Biography
Originating in the Finnish town of Imatra, the death metal five-piece Scent of Flesh assembled around vocalist Niko Ahokas, guitarists Matti Viisainen and Herkko Miikki, bassist Sofian Gezuri, and drummer Antti Suikkanen. After earning considerable underground acclaim for the ferocious death metal approach captured on the “Drowned in Darkness” and “Towards Eternal Lost” demos, the band inked a deal with the Greek label Black Lotus and committed its debut album, Roaring Depths of Insanity, to tape in 2002.
