Scooter Brown Band

Scooter Brown Band, a Texas Red Dirt country outfit headquartered in Houston, emerged under the leadership of Scott Brown, a former Marine who completed a combat deployment in Iraq. Brown established the group in 2005, recruiting bassist Steven Sutherland and drummer Matt Bledsoe at the outset while guitarist Nathan Lockhart came aboard subsequently. After four years of consistent road work, the band issued its debut album, Between Hell & Texas, in 2009. A live recording titled Live in Big Texas arrived the following year, succeeded by the sophomore effort Valor in 2013 and a self-titled studio album in 2015. Maintaining a rigorous touring schedule throughout the decade, the musicians cultivated a growing regional audience that reached its peak with the arrival of their fourth studio release, American Son, in 2017.
