Scorched Earth

Scorched Earth, a British trio, came together through musicians experienced in what their publicity material calls "London's heavy stoner rock scene." Having composed material back in 1969, guitarist Randy Kyser and bassist Chuck Kowalski brought in drummer Jay Pharoah-Curd to lay down tracks for the Fed to Your Head album, which saw release during the early 2000s. Aligning with other efforts associated with the Rubric/Woronzow axis, their sound delivers heavy blues-psychedelic rock that occasionally wanders, drawing heavily from the jamming style prevalent in that genre during the late '60s and early '70s.
