Biography
Sean Button, an Australian rock artist, fuses melodic hard rock with post-punk textures and introspective songwriting across his twenty-first-century output. As both vocalist and guitarist, he issued his self-titled debut EP in 2019.
During his formative years he lived in Cairns, Gladstone, Kingaroy, and Brisbane, performing with various original and cover groups from the late 1980s through the 1990s. After stepping away from music professionally, Button trained as a commercial pilot in the mid-2000s; repeated layovers in Los Angeles revived his creative drive. While there he caught G Flip’s inaugural local appearance, several album-launch events, and mingled with major-label executives. Motivated by these encounters, he tracked a solo EP in his home studio, handling every instrument except drums on the self-produced release Sean Button, which Six Stringer Music issued in 2019. Subsequent singles included the 2020 tracks “It’s Alright” and “Where I’ve Been.”
