Sean Lock established himself as a comedian, writer, and television presenter and panelist. His birth took place on April 22, 1963, in Chertsey, Surrey. Lock launched his career through stand-up comedy and earned an early opportunity by appearing on Rob Newman and David Baddiel’s program Newman and Baddiel in Pieces. The appearance secured him a support role with the comedy duo and, in turn, opened writing assignments for rising performers such as Bill Bailey. In connection with Bailey, Lock acted as script editor for the BBC2 series Is It Bill Bailey? and advanced to hosting his own BBC Radio program, 15 Minutes of Misery. That program evolved into the radio sitcom 15 Storeys High, which completed two highly successful series before Lock adapted it for television and extended it for two additional seasons. He subsequently served as a panelist on multiple television shows and, in 2006, obtained his own entertainment series on Channel 4 titled TV Heaven, Telly Hell. Amid these television and radio commitments, Lock sustained his stand-up work, staging successful and well-received performances throughout England.
