Biography
After encountering each other in Los Angeles, Japanese designer and vocalist Lun*na Menoh joined forces with Korean producer and thereminist Sukho Lee to establish the exotic, retro-futurist synth duo Seksu Roba, whose name translates roughly to “Sex Donkey.” Intent on fusing concepts drawn from Ennio Morricone, Giorgio Moroder, and Yellow Magic Orchestra, the pair issued their self-titled debut album in 2000 through the German imprint Crippled Dick Hot Wax. Their next effort, Pleasure Vibrations, appeared on Eenie Meenie during the summer of 2003. Onstage the duo is augmented by Erector, a dancing robot, and has shared bills with Peaches, Tipsy, Fantastic Plastic Machine, Anubian Lights, and DJ Me DJ You.
