Biography
Uruguayan Latin pop singer Sergio Facheli received his initial music instruction at a neighborhood conservatory during childhood and assembled his debut rock group, Trigo Verde, upon turning 16. The ensemble embarked on an extensive circuit throughout South America, secured top honors at Festival del Pacífico, and issued its inaugural album shortly afterward. Sergio Facheli soon exited the outfit to take up the bass chair behind Spanish star Raphael, subsequently supporting Camilo Sesto as well as Brazilian Roberto Carlos. He penned his debut composition, “Soñé,” in 1978, which paved the way for his first solo long-player the following year under the guidance of producer Rafael Pérez.
