Biography
By the age of thirteen, Sergio Salvatore had already completed two recordings for GRP, marking him clearly as a prodigy. Music runs in the family, with his father working as a teacher and his mother performing as a vocalist. Intensive piano study commenced for him at four years old, and remarkably, those initial releases show no trace of his tender age. Drawing inspiration from figures like Keith Jarrett and Chick Corea, among additional sources, Salvatore matched the caliber of stellar ensembles featuring Dave Samuels, Bob Mintzer, Randy Brecker, and Corea himself—an auspicious beginning to an anticipated long trajectory in music.
