Biography
Glasgow quartet Sexy Kids assembled Patrick, Roxanne, Graeme, and Andy Friendly—each an alumnus of the stylistically adjacent indie pop outfits Bricolage, the Royal We, and Dot to Dot—into a bright, jangling twee aesthetic that paid homage to foundational acts such as Talulah Gosh and Dolly Mixture. When the group’s first 7-inch, “Sisters Are Forever,” appeared on Slumberland Records in 2008, it quickly drew notice from writers devoted to the genre.
