Shankar-Jaikishan

Shankar-Jaikishan, the composing partnership of Shankarsingh Raghwanshi and Jaikishen Dayabhai Panchal, supplied some of the most influential songs in Indian cinema history. Setting lyrics by Hasrat Jaipuri to music, the pair produced memorable tunes such as "Ranhaiya," "Anari," "Kal Aaj Aur Kal," and "Barsaat." Lata Mangeshkar delivered vocals on many of the duo’s strongest pieces for the screen.
