London-based producer Shanti Celeste produces energetic, atmospheric house music that tends toward an uplifting mood and at times incorporates her own light, floating vocals. Her DJ sets move between the bright material she typically creates and denser, bass-driven techno selections. Beyond those activities, she organizes events and shares operation of the Peach Discs imprint. A series of favorably received 12" singles and EPs appeared across the 2010s, leading to her first album-length statement, the rich and stylistically wide-ranging Tangerine, which surfaced in 2019. More recent output includes some of her brightest material, notably the 2022 track “Cutie” and the 2023 Bounce EP recorded with Hodge.

Born in Chile, Shanti Celeste relocated to the U.K. at age 12 and launched her career in Bristol, where she worked at the Idle Hands record shop and label. She began performing as a DJ and established the Brstl imprint with a collaborator in 2011. Her first single, “Need Your Lovin’ (Baby),” arrived in 2013 and was succeeded by the club favorite “Days Like This” the following year. The electro-flavored “Universal Glow” came out on Julio Bashmore’s Broadwalk Records in the same period, coinciding with the start of her ongoing monthly NTS Radio program. Later records appeared via Future Times, Apron Records, and Secretsundaze. Demand for her DJ sets grew sharply, resulting in extensive touring during 2016, after which she moved to Berlin. In 2017 she introduced the Peach Discs label, operated jointly with Gramrcy, and issued further 12"s on Idle Hands and Dekmantel.

The Peach Party event series began in 2018 with an initial date in Brighton and later added regular appearances in Glasgow and London. Early the next year she and Hodge delivered the Soba Dance EP. Her debut album Tangerine, which blends ambient passages with tech-house cuts, was released in November. Live performances resumed in 2021. In 2022 she supplied remixes for Orbital, Mathew Jonson, and Trance Wax while also issuing “Cutie” on Hessle Audio. A second joint project with Hodge, the Bounce EP, followed in 2023.
