Sharon Little, a singer and songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, launched her music career while still a teenager by leaving high school to work as a waitress, supplying background vocals for bands and delivering standards at area clubs. Her debut album, Drawing Circles, appeared via self-release on January 11, 2007. Working with singer/songwriter/guitarist Scot Sax, formerly of Wanderlust, she next delivered the seven-song EP Perfect Time for a Breakdown on August 7, 2007. A December 2007 contract with CBS Records led to the recording of a full-length album also titled Perfect Time for a Breakdown, which shared only two tracks with the earlier EP. Issued May 27, 2008, the album arrived shortly before Little began a national tour opening for Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. The record’s opening track, “Follow That Sound,” was picked as the theme for the television series The Cleaner, which launched in July 2008, and Little performed the song on an August episode. After the Plant and Krauss dates ended, she returned to the road as opener for Chris Isaak.
