Biography
Hailing from Seattle, singer-songwriter Shelby Earl infuses her rock-leaning songwriting with touches of country, blues, and folk. Local 638 Records issued her first full-length album, Burn the Boats, in 2011 after John Roderick—known for his work with Harvey Danger and the Long Winters—handled production duties. Damien Jurado oversaw sessions for much of her next release, the self-issued Swift Arrows, which she tracked in 2013 at Seattle’s Columbia City Theater. Nine Mile Records became the home for her third album, The Man Who Made Himself a Name, which surfaced in 2017 and featured the single “Like I Do,” a duet pairing her with Josiah Johnson of the Head and the Heart.
