Biography
Shon Jackson, a singer and songwriter, first showcased his intimate and atmospheric sound through the release of his debut album Into the Warm in 1999. The musician classifies his creations as ethereal/ambient pop. Originating from the small town of Butler in Alabama, Jackson developed an early appreciation for Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, and the sounds of pop radio during his upbringing. Enrolled as a student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he completed a B.A. in vocal performance and encountered the music of Kate Bush along with Enya, both of which significantly shaped his artistic output. Jackson's initial album Into the Warm helped him cultivate a dedicated following among listeners in the Birmingham region, particularly as the track "Rocket" gained notable traction online.
