Biography
Originating from Shonan, Japan, the reggae outfit Shonan no Kaze issued their debut album independently on the 134 Recordings label during 2003. Red Rice and Han Kun, both devoted to reggae and hip-hop, joined forces with DJ Shock Eye and Wakadanna to complete the lineup. Real Riders served as their first full-length effort and earned moderate success, prompting the Top Five-charting follow-up Raga Parade within the subsequent year. A third studio album arrived in 2006, though the group maintained a lower profile throughout 2007. The J-reggae ensemble reemerged in 2008 with the single "Ougon Soul," chosen as the theme song for The Negotiator.
