Biography
Drawing from the raw sounds of trashy garage bands and British R&B in the 1960s, Shutdown 66 assembled in Melbourne, Australia, toward the end of the 1990s. Buoyed by strong praise for their opening single, the group captured their debut album in time to secure a slot at the Las Vegas Grind festival. Limited-edition copies of Welcome to Dumpsville first appeared on Corduroy before the album received a wider reissue on Get Hip in 2003.
