Biography
Born in 1947, teen pop singer Simone Jackson, born Jacobs, represents a minor footnote in the Beatles’ formative years. Just five weeks into her professional performing life, she received backing from the Fab Four at Liverpool’s Cavern Club on September 12, 1962, a bill that also featured Freddie and the Dreamers. Her brief tenure with Pye yielded only three singles—“Pop-Pop-Pop-Pie,” “Ain't Gonna Kiss Ya,” and “Tell Me What to Do.” Information about her later endeavors is scant.
