Biography
Sinister Realm emerged from Allentown, Pennsylvania, as the vision of Pale Divine bassist John Gaffney. The project took form during 2008 once vocalist Alex Kristof, guitarists John Kantner and Keith Patrick, and Pale Divine drummer Darin McCloskey joined the fold. After the eponymous debut album was tracked, Keith Patrick and Darin McCloskey departed, with John Risko and Chris Metzger filling their roles. That release presented a fresh interpretation of the classic heavy metal style, occasionally venturing into doom passages in the vein of Manowar, Dio, Candlemass, and similar acts. Shadow Kingdom Records issued the album in October 2009.
