The Skinny Boys, made up of Jock Box (Jacque Harrison), Shockin' Shaun (Shaun Harrison), and Super Jay (James Harrison), secured a recording contract with Jive and earned recognition through several old school classics that produced an enduring impact. Although seldom ranked among the leading influential old school rap acts, their 12" singles stayed in rotation among hip-hop DJs, with "Rip the Cut" and "Skinny & Proud" standing out as two of the most favored selections.
